As a teacher and an old man, I feel entitled – and I am entitled – to repeat myself unnecessarily.
Man… Time really flies, and I was saying this last year.
It’s Christmas time again, so allow me to get nostalgic and look back and reminisce theĀ good old times I had this year, which is ending in a week’s time.
Last Christmas, I Was Fighting on Mobile Legends at Starbucks
Last year, at roughly around this time, I was actively engaged in battles on Mobile Legends.
I must say ~ it is really a very fun game – I am still engaged in it every now and then – and I am eternally grateful to that student (Thanks, R*****) who pestered me into playing it.
But like an old colleague of mine once said
What a difference a year makes!
Really. One year can make all the difference. At this point in time last year, I didn’t know that my good run was going to end, and true epiphany was going to dawn on me, at the least expected of moments.
Christmas is the Time to Reflect
Having gone through the throes of hell and come back, I must attest that some things in life are simply not worth it.
In the words of the Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4:7-8:
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Yet, the great Lord’s words ring heavy in my ears:
Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
Well, it’s Christmas. Forgive me if I sound a tad biblical.
And these two verses shall be the sum total of all that I have experienced this year.
How has your year been?
Drop me a comment if you wanna engage.
A Special Thanks to All Those Who Reached Out
For some strange reason, the pain of extreme suffering was mitigated by the many people I ran into during the course of the 3 months after the great fallout.
Thank you so much for the goodwill.
I don’t know how all of you managed to appear at the nick of time, but you did.
Like the dream I had many years back, I did little for all of you, so little that I could hardly remember, but you kept me in your hearts.
Thank you, my friends. You are indeed my true friends.
For Those That Prefer Words
This is for you.
It’s a little old, but it’s my favourite, and it’s beautiful.
And to Soak Up the Christmas Spirit
This too is old, like me. But it’s beautiful.
And If Life Gets Rough
Which it always will… Always remember this lesson from Raymond Reddington.
Merry Christmas 2025, Everyone!
It’s too late to buy anything for Christmas. But you are very in time for Chinese New Year. Fancy an Air Fryer? Take a look at this:
