The mum of an old friend of mine used to say, “New _____, New Attitude!” [fill in the blank with a correct word of your own. e.g. “New Hair, New Attitude!” or “New Shirt, New Attitude!” or “New Underwear, New Attitude!” (alright, forget this last one)]

Beyond just teaching at the tuition centre as well as the international school under the same group, I have started contributing to Brainz Magazine as an Executive Contributor.
My first article just got published, and my face is up for ridicule.
New Name, New Attitude!
Time flies, and times change!
In view of the new exams for 2027 – Singapore is parting ways with the O Levels – I will have to move with the times and rebrand myself.
Gone are the days of ‘O Level English Tutor’.
I shall be – wait for it – a Secondary Education Certificate English Tutor, or SEC English Tutor for short.
Since some parents might be confused about what the SEC is all about – the O Levels have been with us since forever – I shall spell out everything in full, provide the abbreviation in paranthesis and further state the past equivalent in further paranthesis.
So I shall now officially be a ‘Secondary Education Certificate [SEC (O Level)] English Tutor’. 
And since I stategise for my students for the SEC (O Level) English exams, I shall also include that so that parents know exactly how I teach; I shall now add ‘Exam Strategist’ at the back.
Now my title on this website (hey, it’s my website after all) shall be – wait for it – ‘Secondary Education Certificate [SEC (O Level)] English Tutor and Exam Strategist’.
And since I am kind of too old to sustain the ‘Mad’ in the title, I shall be long-winded and label myself ‘Maverick’ instead of ‘Mad’.
So it’s gonna be: Maverick Secondary Education Certificate [SEC (O Level)] English Tutor.
I am still the author of 16+1 books to date, and I am still genuinely interested in business as a theorist rather than a practitioner; so these two have to go in as well.
So I am gonna be:
Maverick Secondary Education Certificate [SEC (O Level)] English Tutor, Author and a Bona Fide Business Enthusiast.
Impressive? I reckon.
